Bartender

Main Responsibilities of a Bartender:

Guest Service

• Greet bar guests promptly and create a welcoming, professional atmosphere
• Take beverage orders accurately from bar guests and servers
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to recipe and presentation standards
• Engage with guests, make recommendations, and handle requests or concerns politely

Beverage Preparation & Knowledge

• Mix, garnish, and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drinks consistently
• Maintain strong knowledge of drink recipes, wine lists, beer selections, and spirits
• Ensure proper portion control and follow standard pour guidelines
• Monitor drink quality, freshness, and appearance

Cash Handling & POS

• Accurately enter orders into the POS system
• Handle cash, credit, and other payments responsibly
• Open and close bar tabs and complete end-of-shift checkout procedures

Cleanliness & Organization

• Keep the bar area clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift
• Wash glassware and maintain clean bar tools and equipment
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times

Inventory & Stocking

• Stock beer, wine, liquor, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or waste
• Assist with receiving and storing bar inventory

Safety & Compliance

• Check guest IDs and comply with alcohol service laws
• Monitor guest consumption and refuse service when necessary
• Maintain a safe environment for guests and staff

Teamwork & Communication

• Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management
• Support the service team during peak hours
• Assist with side work and opening/closing duties as assigned
