Hospice Biller (Assistant or Experienced) – Growing Team | Flexible Schedule
Stillwater Hospice is one of the fastest-growing hospice providers in the country, delivering compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care to patients and their families across multiple states. As we continue to expand, we are building a centralized billing department to support our growing network of offices—and we’re looking for the right person to join our team.
We are open to two types of candidates:
- A Billing Assistant looking to grow in hospice billing
- An Experienced Hospice Biller ready to contribute at a high level
The most important qualification is experience in hospice billing.

Key Responsibilities
- Process and support hospice billing functions including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial claims
- Assist with payment posting, reconciliation, and cash application
- Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and authorizations/pre-authorizations
- Manage and follow up on Notices of Election (NOE), certifications, and recertifications to ensure compliance and timely filing
- Support denial management, appeals, and claim corrections
- Ensure accuracy and compliance across all billing processes
- Assist with additional projects as we scale and grow our centralized billing operations
Qualifications
- Hospice billing experience strongly preferred (this is the most important requirement)
- Experience in home health or healthcare revenue cycle is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with billing systems such as WellSky, Homecare Homebase, or similar
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- High school diploma required; certifications (CPB, CRCR) are a plus
