Staff Development Nurse
Stillwater Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Community is looking for a full-time Staff Development Nurse/Infection Control Nurse to join the nursing management team. The Staff Development Nurse is responsible for the planning, organizing, developing, implementing, facilitating, and evaluating all employee’s education programs throughout the facility or campus, in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, current applicable federal, state, local standards, guidelines and regulations to assure the highest degree of quality resident care can be always maintained. This position will also manage the facilities infection control practices and assure regulatory compliance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
FUNCTIONS:
4. Understand and apply OBRA Regulations.
5. Understands and applies principles of adult learning.
6. Works in collaboration with all facility department directors in the orientation and education of staff to ensure mandatory and regulatory education requirements are met within the facility.
7. Conducts competencies in areas of nursing practice with attention to management of the medically complex patient.
8. Regularly conduct education needs assessment for the facility to assist in identifying areas for improvement.
9. Assume the authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the in-service educational programs as required or directed for compliance with Federal, OSHA, State, and corporate policy.
10. Ensure integrity of education programs offered within the facility by:
11. Coordinate Employee Health Program and maintain employee records in accordance with regulations.
12. Serves on assigned committees and attends designated meetings.
13. Performance Improvement activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (But not limited to)
- Registered Nurse with minimum bachelor’s degree in nursing, master’s in nursing preferred or Advanced Practice Nurse
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in health services delivery, preferably as an educator and/ or clinical operations with at least one (1) years of that work experience is in long term care service delivery.
- Computer literacy skills (outlook, Microsoft office, power point, clinical software systems/EMR, internet, clinical education software)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- RN Licensed or eligible for RN licensure by the state in which you provide consultative services.
- Effective and proven education, management and leadership skills teaching and training skills for adult learners
