In order to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualified within 10 days of your first day of work. To be considered Highly Qualified, you must have ONE of the following:

Hours per day: 6.0 hours per day, Monday - Friday (student contact days).
