Engineering Technician I (Tier 1)
Location: Still Waters Resort
Position Summary
The Engineering Technician I supports the daily maintenance operations of the resort by performing entry-level repairs, preventive maintenance, and guest service tasks. This role is highly guest-facing and requires a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner, prioritizing guest-related issues
- Perform routine maintenance in guest rooms, including:
- Replacing light bulbs, batteries, and air filters
- Fixing minor plumbing issues (clogs, slow drains, leaking faucets)
- Adjusting doors, locks, hinges, and basic hardware
- Assist with preventive maintenance programs for:
- HVAC units (filter changes, visual inspections)
- Appliances (microwaves, refrigerators, dishwashers)
- Support upkeep of resort amenities, including pools, hot tubs, and common areas:
- Clean surfaces, remove debris, and report irregularities
- Monitor water conditions under supervision
- Respond to guest calls (e.g., AC not cooling, TV issues, maintenance concerns) with professionalism and urgency
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials safely throughout the property
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop, storage rooms, and work areas
- Follow all company safety policies, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout awareness (as trained)
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level technicians
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 0–2 years of general maintenance, construction, or related experience preferred
- Valid driver's license (if required for property vehicles)
- Basic familiarity with tools, equipment, and safe handling practices
Skills & Competencies

Physical Requirements
