Painter

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our residential and commercial painting team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship on every project. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray equipment including airless paint sprayers.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specific requirements.
• Perform specialized painting tasks including residential painting, commercial painting, industrial coating applications, and restoration projects.
• Use hand tools like caulking guns, putty knives, and plastering tools to repair surfaces before painting.
• Execute surface preparation tasks such as plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing as needed.
• Install fixtures or trim carpentry elements where required during renovation or remodeling projects.
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and using proper personal protective equipment at all times.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects.
• Experience with residential and commercial painting techniques across diverse surfaces.
• Skilled in the use of power tools including drills, sanders, grinders, and power/soft-wash equipment for surface preparation or repairs.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
• Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to paint quantities and surface areas.
• Hands-on experience with caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and fixture installation.
• Knowledge of industrial painting methods including airless spray systems and coating applications for large-scale projects.
• Experience in restoration work involving plastering, renovation processes, or remodeling projects.
