What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Manager position at STIHL Southeast, Inc.?
STIHL Southeast, distributor of STIHL outdoor power equipment, has an opening for a Territory Manager to join the field sales team in southeast Florida. This role primarily facilitates and develop business relationships with STIHL Dealers within a given territory, including direct sales, customer relations, merchandising support, and sales training for dealer employees.
Role Responsibilities:
- Maintains relationship with existing dealer base while also prospecting new dealer opportunities.
- Travel to and visit dealerships regularly to promote and sell STIHL products.
- Ensures that STIHL merchandising areas and systems are maintained and adequately stocked – including POP and pricing materials.
- Coordinate dealer training programs on topics such as sales, new products, technical issues, and other promotional programs.
- Fulfill sales goals and objectives for their territory.
- Other duties as assigned/required.
Qualified Candidates will have/will be:
- Working knowledge of outdoor power equipment.
- Knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, and techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of customers.
- Effective time management.
- Ability to manage travel expenses.
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Ideal Candidates will also have:
- STIHL sales experience/Outdoor power equipment sales experience.
