What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician III - Endpoint Support (A/V) position at Stifel?
Summary
The IT Technician III is responsible for maintaining computer systems and other technologies within Stifel. Their duties include working with other IT Technicians to install hardware troubleshoot computer issues, respond to IT questions from other associates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install and resolve technical issues with user PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, and mobile devices
- Assisting customers and staff with hardware and software challenges
- Escalates issues to appropriate support member/team when necessary
- Provides set up equipment for employee use
- Provide installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
- Maintain records of tickets and daily data communication transaction
- Maintains working components through repair or replacement
- Ability and means to travel; Occasional night and weekend work required as well as overnight travel (up to 15%).
- Coordinates and leads branch location moves

Education and Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent college coursework, or equivalent experience required
- 4 years' experience in a technical field or IT support role
Systems and Technology
- Knowledge of teleconferencing/audio and video conferencing technologies and platforms, including but not limited to Zoom, WebEx, Teams, Skype, BlueJeans, and Loop-Up.
- Understanding of A/V systems, components, and protocols (Logitech, Poly, Crestron, AMX, Extron, RS232, Dante, A/V-over-IP, etc.)
- Maintain composure under stressful situations for executives/leadership
- Executive support for video conferencing
- Live event/production experience
- Understanding of A/V signal paths and the ability to troubleshoot failures in the signal path
- Experience administrating systems and accounts for phone and video conferencing
- Experience installing A/V systems
- Experience with administrating digital signage systems, ie. Brightsign, a plus.
- Experience with administrating “Hot Desking / Room Reservation” solutions, ie. Zoom, to allow workers to book open desks and office space a plus
- Experience working with vendors a plus
