- Support Hands-On Cooking Classes: Teach kids how to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy, exciting recipes from around the world.
- Spark Creativity: Introduce kids to new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures in an engaging, interactive way.
- Stay Organized: Prepare to assist Chef Instructors using provided curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and set up fun, safe kitchen environments.
- Observe & assist in up to three classes per week and give feedback to Admin Team.
- Fill in as a substitute Instructor as needed on designated days of the week.
- When you're not observing/assisting in classes you will support Admin Team with class related tasks: drop off marketing materials, deliver chef tools, etc.
- Experience working with kids of various ages and backgrounds is a MUST.
- Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-12 kids. Must arrive on campus 15 minutes prior to scheduled class time. Varies per school.
- Have or willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
- Lift up to 30 lbs to store and transport materials.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation.
- Must pass state and FBI background checks as a condition of employment.
- Must be available 3 days a week during the hours of 2-4pm for sub positions and class observations.
- Guaranteed: 4 hours of pay per week (starting at $25 per hour), whether you're observing (up to three classes a week) or assisting with program support.
- Be the Hero: Step in and lead when needed! If you're called to cover a class, you'll be paid $50 on top of your guaranteed hours.
- Competitive Substitute Pay ($50 per a one-hour class $14 food reimbursement grocery shopping time per class cell phone/internet reimbursement each month).
- Loyalty Bonus: Show up for your scheduled shifts all semester, and we'll thank you with a reliability bonus of $100 at the end of the December 2025!
- Each class is roughly 1.4 hours on campus. This includes 15 minutes of preparation prior to your scheduled class, and 5-15 minutes of clean up after your scheduled class.
- $20.00/hour grocery shopping time
- $17.25/hour for trainings and staff meetings
- $5 Cellphone/internet reimbursement (monthly)
- $14 reimbursement per class for groceries purchased
- Sick leave at the rate of 1 hour per 30 worked
- Ongoing Support.
- All tools and equipment provided, this includes our special Chef tool kit valued at $175
