Responsibilities

• Support the scheduling, planning, and content development of the SPP Annual Workshop in compliance to the current DoD Conference Guidance and the current Chief National Guard Bureau Instructions, National Guard Conference
• Assistance Visits (SAVs)
• Attend the SPP Annual Workshop to provide support, present briefings, maintain situational awareness, and establish and maintain contacts with SPPDs and other State personnel.
• Provide the Draft SPP Annual Workshop Request Memorandum in Microsoft Word.
• Submit the Memorandum to the designated Government representative 190 Calendar Days prior to the workshop.
• Outline the plan for the workshop and the proposed choice and rationale for the meeting site, in the Draft SPP Annual Workshop Request Memorandum
• Conduct market research and cost analysis for possible locations for the SPP Annual Workshop.
• Compile the market research data and make venue recommendations via the Market Research Logistical Report in Microsoft Word, including, at a minimum, the following information:
• Attendee travel per diem rates
• Miscellaneous costs
• Lodging availability
• Meeting space availability and estimated costs
• Audio-visual availability and estimated costs
• Availability of attendee meal options
• Availability of local Government security support
• Transportation options
• Banquet/break options
• Total estimated event cost.
• Submit the Market Research Logistical Report to the designated Government representative for approval by September 15th each year.
• Update the Market Research Logistical Report within one business day of change in the event a place and/or date listed in Technical Exhibit III changes due to a Government-mandated change
• Utilize the information provided in the Market Research Logistical Report to create the Draft SPP Annual Workshop Staff Packet and follow the procedures after the Market Research Logistical Report has been endorsed and the event location has been determined.
• Provide the Draft SPP Legislation, Authorities, and Implementing Instructions-Workshop Plenary Session Update Slides and the Draft SPP Professional Development Workshop Breakout Updates Slides on Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Submit the Workshop Plenary Slides to the designated Government representative for approval 30 Calendar Days prior to SPP Annual Workshop.
• May be required to travel to the location of the Workshop to present the briefings to the workshop participants
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance
• 5 Years of experience in a similar role
• Experience with the Nation Guard Bureau
