STGi is seeking a Laundry Aide to provide services at our Georgia War Veterans Home. If you have compassion and a passion to care for Veterans, this could be the job for you!

Essential Functions:

Perform day-to-day activities of housekeeping and laundry services as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor to assure the facility is maintained in a clean and comfortable manner.

Essential Functions:

• Clean, disinfect equipment and supplies, monitor environment for potential hazards, clean vacant rooms as assigned, ensure proper disposal of infectious waste(s) into appropriate containers and other duties as assigned. Wash and dry residents clothing items using facility machines.
  
  

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Work is typically performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
• Work is performed on multi-level facilities.
  
  

Required Skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Effective English communication skills
• Ability to understand basic housekeeping tasks consistent with facility priorities.
• Professional demeanor with resident community
  
  

Required Education:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
