The Moore Theatre Manager oversees all aspects of venue operations; including but not limited to day-of-show operations, show advance, labor scheduling, venue safety, inter-organization communication, labor management, venue maintenance & budgeting. This position earns between $85,820.80 to $128,731.20 (midpoint $107,276) depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, LTD and STD Insurance as well as paid vacation, and sick leave.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Manages and schedules the daily operation of the Moore Theatre.  
  2. Ensures that all elements needed for show operation are in place for a seamless day-of-show. 
  3. Responsible for and assists HR in recruiting, hiring and training of all theatre staff directly under Theatre Manager. 
  4. Monitors and engages with all vested parties to ensure highest level of service to artist, touring personnel, vendors and patrons.  
  5. Ensures safety and security of the Moore Theatre. Manages and implements emergency procedures as needed.
  6. Ensures nightly settlements are completed and agreed to by all parties.   
  7. Ensures timely payroll for staff is provided in a fashion and payment to vendors. 
  8. Planning and maintenance of venue policies in accordance with STG policies.  
  9. Plan, oversee & implement venue maintenance & improvements. Including overseeing day-to-day maintenance, adherence to American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements & planning/implementing capital expense projects.
  10. Other duties may be assigned as needed with flexibility to take on new roles or responsibilities as the company evolves.

 

Additional responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with all STG departments to efficiently schedule use of the Moore. 
  2. Share information and needs with all applicable STG departments about safety, maintenance and show operations.
  3. Understand and track labor rates and hours to most efficiently operate the Moore.
  4. Preform labor and expense estimates as needed for any potential events. 
  5. Work with city, county and state agencies to ensure adherence to building and event requirements.
  6. Maintain good relations with all Vendors, Artist Representatives, Promoters and Organizations.
  7. Perpetuate and maintain a positive environment of diversity, equity and inclusion, in line with STG’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Access (DEIA) goals.
  8. Maintain the positive working relationship which currently exists with the owners of the Moore Theatre (Toulouse Family).
  9. Assist other STG theatres and operations whenever possible and as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years’ experience supervising & coordinating theatre production and front-of-house operations.
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude in a high stress & fast paced environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to tactfully handle stressful situations, negotiate and resolve conflicts, maintain confidentiality and to respect and observe organizational protocol.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, customer service, problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making, leadership, team building, time management and motivational skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and on deadline. Proactively solve problems leading to positive outcomes.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Windows programs & ability/willingness to learn proprietary Settlement software.

 

 

Salary : $85,821 - $128,731
