Account Executive (Marketing/Advertising)

STFRD | Stafford
Los Angeles, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 3/25/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/20/2026

Company Description

Founded in 2003, STFRD | Stafford is an award-winning marketing and communications consultancy and full-service agency. Our team is composed of branding experts, creatives, programmers, designers, and digital specialists who collaborate on crafting impactful and globally recognized campaigns. We pride ourselves on creating tailored strategies designed to help a diverse range of organizations, both large and small, achieve their business objectives.

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly capable Account Executive / Project Manager to operate at the center of our client relationships and internal execution. This is a hybrid role for someone who can own projects end-to-end, manage client communications with confidence, and keep complex, multi-channel workstreams moving forward with minimal oversight.

This is not a task-based role; it’s an ownership role. You’ll be expected to think critically, anticipate needs, solve problems in real time, and drive work forward across multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Communication

  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, building trust through clear, proactive communication
  • Lead client calls, status updates, and follow-ups with confidence and precision
  • Translate client goals into actionable plans, briefs, and deliverables
  • Manage expectations, timelines, and feedback loops

Project Ownership & Execution

  • Own projects from kickoff through delivery: scope, timelines, resources, & outputs
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, trackers, and workflows
  • Ensure all deliverables are on time, on brief, and meet quality standards

Creative Trafficking & Workflow Management

  • Traffic creative and campaign assets across internal teams (strategy, creative, media, development)
  • Coordinate reviews, revisions, and approvals efficiently
  • Identify bottlenecks early and proactively course-correct

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as the central hub between clients and internal teams
  • Ensure alignment across strategy, creative, media, and production
  • Facilitate collaboration and maintain momentum across all workstreams

Problem Solving & Critical Thinking

  • Identify challenges early and implement solutions quickly
  • Bring structure to ambiguity and keep projects moving forward
  • Make informed decisions using both logic and experience
  • Operate with a high level of accountability and ownership

Performance & Systems Awareness

  • Support campaign reporting and performance tracking efforts
  • Understand and apply core marketing and media metrics (CTR, CPM, conversions, etc.)
  • Utilize tools and systems to improve workflow efficiency and visibility

Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience in an agency or fast-paced marketing environment
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and client relationships simultaneously
  • Strong experience with project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet, Jira)
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of marketing, creative production, and (ideally) media workflows
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills—clear, concise, and professional

What Success Looks Like

  • Projects are consistently delivered on time, on brief, and at a high standard
  • Clients feel confident, informed, and well-managed
  • Internal teams are aligned, efficient, and supported
  • Challenges are addressed proactively before they escalate
  • You are seen as a reliable operator who gets things done

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on integrated campaigns (digital, social, web, content, media)
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g., GA4, media dashboards)
  • Experience in regulated or complex industries (e.g., energy, public sector, healthcare)

Why This Role

This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact, high-visibility role where you’ll play a critical part in both client success and internal execution. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team, contribute to meaningful projects, and have the autonomy to own and shape how work gets done.
