What are the responsibilities and job description for the Videographer / Editor position at Steyer For Governor?

The Videographer / Editor is responsible for capturing Tom’s story in a dynamic, compelling, and authentic way. They will travel with the campaign to film rallies, community events, meetings, and behind-the-scenes moments throughout the state of California. They will edit content in coordination with digital and communications directors.

- Travel California with Tom to capture high-quality video at events.
- Produce storyboards and scripts for approval prior to shooting
- Shoot and edit video and photo content
- Create motion graphics / VFX and mix sound
- Archive and organize existing footage
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts, Broadcast Journalism or related field
- 5 years experience in a relevant role
- Strong lighting and cinematography skills
- Expert-level skill with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects and Audition
- Ability to create innovative videos that build upon established strategic content
- Knowledge of social media video best practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift, carry, haul video equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across California, sometimes on short notice
- Knowledge and passion for current events and politics in California
Annualized salary depends on experience and final scope of responsibilities.

Salary : $95,000 - $115,000
