What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billy Brumfield Night Shift Shelter Supervisor position at Stewpot Community Services, Inc.?
The Night Shift Shelter Supervisor has responsibility for managing the operations of Billy Brumfield Men's Shelter between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Supervisor must be available to answer the needs of residents.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming atmosphere is provided for all clients
- Monitor client activities and shelter operations during shift
- Answer calls and follow established procedures for crisis intervention, intakes, safety planning, and referrals
- Complete client admission intakes, facilitate client orientation, assign rooms, and ensure all necessary admittance forms are complete
- Assist in maintaining shelter, including food, cleaning supplies, bedding, as well as receiving donations and assist in keeping inventory
- Complete mandatory documentation such as shift reports
- Supervise client chore assignments
Experience/Knowledge
High School diploma or GED and at least three (3) years of work experience. Must have good communication skills to work with individuals in crisis situations. Knowledge of general office operation procedures, answering telephones, and use of computers.

- Ability to respond to crisis situations effectively and appropriately.
