Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and service-focused Housing Coordinator to oversee the daily operations and resident support services within our independent living apartment communities. This position plays an important role in maintaining safe, welcoming, and well-managed housing while promoting tenant satisfaction and community engagement.
The ideal candidate will combine strong organizational and customer service skills with knowledge of housing operations, property management practices, and resident support services. This role involves administrative coordination, tenant relations, inspections, light maintenance oversight, compliance support, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure smooth community operations.
Responsibilities
✔ Conduct apartment tours for prospective tenants and assist with housing inquiries
✔ Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including paperwork, leases, and recordkeeping
✔ Maintain organized tenant files, inspection records, and housing documentation
✔ Conduct apartment, safety, and common area inspections
✔ Assist with light housekeeping of common spaces and garbage removal
✔ Perform and coordinate general building maintenance and minor upkeep tasks
✔ Order supplies, maintenance materials, and operational items
✔ Collect rent payments and distribute tenant statements and notices
✔ Coordinate with administration, finance, maintenance, vendors, and other departments as needed
✔ Respond to tenant concerns and help resolve housing-related conflicts professionally and respectfully
✔ Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, landlord-tenant regulations, and community policies
✔ Utilize property management software and systems to maintain accurate records and streamline operations
✔ Help foster a clean, safe, respectful, and community-centered living environment focused on tenant satisfaction and retention
Qualifications
✔ Experience in property management, housing coordination, social services, or related fields preferred
✔ Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law, preferred
✔ Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to multitask and work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
✔ Customer service mindset with strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution abilities
✔ Basic maintenance and housekeeping knowledge helpful
✔ Proficient computer and recordkeeping skills required
✔ Professional, dependable, and resident-focused attitude
