Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, flatbed to recover and transport vehicles securely.
- Safely load and unload vehicles onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols.
- Perform vehicle diagnostics to assess damage or mechanical issues prior to towing.
- Follow all safety procedures during vehicle recovery, ensuring safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks and adherence to traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and emergency responders to coordinate vehicle recovery operations.
- Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and incident reports for accountability and compliance.
Skills
- Valid driver’s license with experience in flatbed towing and wheel lift.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle mechanics for truck drivers and car towing techniques.
- Skilled in conflict management with customers or during stressful roadside situations.
- Familiarity with cargo securement protocols, safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks, and vehicle recovery towing procedures.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual transmission operation, and adherence to traffic regulations.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is a plus for load & unload tasks.
