DOE CDL and Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

  • Operate a wide range of construction equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and dump trucks to perform earthmoving, material handling, and site preparation tasks.
  • Drive commercial trucks such as front loader trucks, water trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, and farm machinery to transport materials safely across job sites.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on heavy machinery and construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
  • Follow all equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery or handling materials.
  • Use hand tools and hydraulics systems for minor repairs or adjustments on equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Handle materials efficiently using material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, inspections, maintenance activities, and safety checks in compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction site safety regulations and occupational safety standards.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance on heavy equipment and understand hydraulics systems.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and construction machinery maintenance procedures.
  • Communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
