What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Assembly- Summer Opportunities position at Stewart's Shops?
We have seasonal openings available in our kitchen in our Distribution Center & Manufacturing Plant located in Saratoga Springs, NY. We are looking for seasonal partners to help support our busy production months of May through August. This is a great opportunity to establish a job that you can return to during breaks and summers!
Duties:
• Assemble food items at various stations throughout the production line, including packaging our products.
• Ability to follow recipes and SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) which includes producing our homemade chili, soups, various frozen sandwiches, chicken, tuna, egg salad and much more!
• Prep and package food products in a safe and sanitary matter in accordance with food safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Procedures.)
Requirements:
• Dependable with a team player attitude.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while being safety conscious.
• Ability to be on your feet and do repetitive lifting (up to 50lbs) for several consecutive hours.
• Willingness to adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in cold temperatures (<45 degrees) for long periods of time.
Schedule:
• Temporary full and part-time positions available for the months of May-August.
• Morning and afternoon shift available.
• Schedules include some weekends and holidays.
• Total pay including differentials is $19.50-$21/hour.
