What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) position at STEWART MEMORIAL COMMUNITY HOSPITAL?
FULLTIME POSITION (40 hours/week)
Night shift position: 8pm – 6am Monday through Thursday.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an MLT, you will collect blood from patients, perform various analytical tests, and report the results. Our patients and team members will count on you to perform tests needed to identify the necessary care and treatments needed.
Other responsibilities include:
- Use laboratory equipment and analyzers to complete many of the tests
- Accurately report results using Sunquest Lab Information System (LIS)
- Perform analyzer maintenance and quality control
- Draw inpatients’ morning labs
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Medical Laboratory Technician degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- Previous hospital experience preferred, but will train
