Security Officer – Galena IL
1st and 2nd shifts required with 7-day a week availability
We are currently seeking candidates for part time (14 - 21 hours a week) , unarmed professional Security Officer Positions. Security Officers provide physical security of an organization’s facility to ensure a safe atmosphere for employees, contractors, clients, and visitors.
Qualified candidates will be intelligent, courteous individuals with a friendly attitude, professional demeanor, great customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Preference will be given to qualified applicants with prior training and/or to those that currently possess an active Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC).
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have own reliable transportation.
- Have a general knowledge of security procedures.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills.
- Must be responsible, dependable, and have a professional attitude.
- Must have good attendance, be punctual and have excellent people skills.
- Neat, clean, professional appearance is required.
- Must be able to walk and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be willing to work outdoors for extending periods of time, including during inclement weather.
- Must be able to pass a strict background check.
- Security, military, or law enforcement background is a plus.
- Must be willing to work both 1st and 2nd shift hours, weekends and holidays are also required.
All Stewart Security employees must be licensed by the IL Dept of Financial and Professional Regulation, which includes a criminal background check. Stewart Security will assist candidates who are selected for employment, with applying for a PERC if they do not already have one.
