Construction Project Manager-Estimator

Summary

The Construction Project Manager/Estimator has responsibility to estimate, manage and complete projects Safely, providing a quality job that is within budget, that meets schedule requirements while maintaining Client satisfaction.

Essential Functions

• Is the main contact with Client during Estimating, Pre-construction and Construction phases of project
• Travel to Client sites to review projects for bidding, prepare the bid documents,and submit to the Client
• Review and approve subcontracts.
• Purchase and schedule the necessary project materials within budget
• Prepare and update project schedules with General Superintendent
• Price, submit, record, and track all Client Change Order requests
• Review and prepare monthly Gross Profit report on each active project
• Coordinate with General Superintendent and Site Foremen on site activities
• Prepare Client Invoices in a timely manner

Requirements

Competencies

• Five (5) years of Industrial Construction Project Management/Estimating preferred
• Experience at using HCSS Heavybid Estimating program a plus
• Knowledge of steel erection, concrete, building fit-outs, electrical and processing systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or CAD drawings
• Ability to travel to managed local job sites weekly or as required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Teams
• Familiarity with Project Management Software such as Sage/Timberline
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, follow through on assignment with minimal direction and set priorities--which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities--and to perform under deadlines with frequent interruptions
