Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Band Saw Operator specializing in meat processing. In this role, you will be responsible for operating band saw equipment to efficiently and accurately cut meat products in accordance with food safety standards and manufacturing procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols, food safety, and adherence to standard operating procedures to ensure high-quality output and a safe working environment.
Duties
- Operate band saw machinery to cut and portion meat products according to specified standards and customer requirements.
- Follow all safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations throughout the processing operation, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
- Adhere strictly to manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in production.
- Inspect equipment regularly for proper functioning and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities processed and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of band saws as needed for different cuts or product types.
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating band saws or similar meat processing equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within meat processing environments.
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and work in accordance with manufacturing SOPs.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on precision during cutting processes.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle repetitive tasks and operate machinery safely.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant workspace at all times.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
