Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presentation standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on grilling techniques and ingredient selection.
- Support food safety protocols by following proper storage, handling, and hygiene procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation during busy service periods.
- Help with food prep tasks such as marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients for grilling.
Qualifications
- Experience working in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus.
- Prior restaurant or culinary experience, especially in fine dining or catering environments.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques related to grilling and food preparation.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Knowledge of menu planning, food industry standards, and meal preparation processes.
