Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Steves & Sons, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with advanced mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting expertise who thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

As a senior member of the maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring maximum equipment uptime, leading preventive maintenance initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

·         Diagnoses, troubleshooting, and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on manufacturing equipment

·         Perform and lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs (PMs)

·         Install, modify, and optimize machinery and production equipment

·         Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

·         Maintain and troubleshoot:

Ø  Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Ø  Conveyor systems, gearboxes, and drive systems

Ø  Motor controls (low and high voltage)

·         Perform welding and fabrication for equipment repair and improvement

·         Support automation systems, including PLCs (Allen Bradley, Automation Direct)

·         Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track work orders and maintenance schedules

·         Collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiency

·         Mentor and support junior maintenance technicians as needed

·         Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies

·         Qualifications & Requirements

·         5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Strong expertise in:

·         Mechanical systems and power transmission

·         Electrical systems and motor controls

·         Hydraulics and pneumatics

·         Welding and fabrication

·         Experience with PLCs, automation, and controls troubleshooting preferred

·         Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings

·         Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach

·         Ability to work independently and in a team environment

·         Flexibility to work extended hours or respond to urgent maintenance needs

·         Work Environment

·         Fast-paced manufacturing setting with exposure to moving machinery and industrial equipment

·         Ability to work in varying temperatures (heat/cold) and stand for extended periods

·         May require lifting, climbing, and working in tight or elevated spaces
