Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Financial Aid Advisor I or II, located in Owings Mills, MD. The Financial Aid Advisor will provide guidance to students and families regarding financial aid options while assisting them in understanding and navigating the financial aid process. Daily responsibilities include verifying student eligibility for financial aid, packaging and disbursing awards, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies, including Title IV regulations. The role also involves collaborating with the admissions team to support enrollment goals and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Student Financial Aid, Title IV regulations, and Enrollment Management
- Strong background in Finance, with the ability to manage and analyze financial aid data
- Exceptional Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with students and parents
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial aid processes
- Proficiency in financial aid management systems and standard office software
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and establish partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in higher education or in financial aid advising is a plus
