What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furniture and Mattress Sales Associate position at Stevenson’s?
Furniture and Mattress Associates provide fast, friendly service to customers and are responsible for actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. They provide product education and assist customers to make product choices that complement their needs. They know how to greet, recommend, and close every customer in their department, and they also understand how to handle basic tasks in adjacent departments.
Duties:
- Generate leads, conduct sales activities, build relationships with customers, and coordinate successful completion of projects and orders.
- Maintain displays and price tag items.
- Maintain expert knowledge of product
- Ensure displayed merchandise reflects our high standards of showroom readiness, is up to date, and accurately mirrors the manufacturer's current product offering
- Maintain Awareness of all promotions and advertisements
- Execute all daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management
- Assist in the training and development of peers
- Actively participate in daily huddle meeting
Requirements
- Experience in a retail environment
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to communicate, relate well, and direct the work of others
- Ability to solve problems, work independently, and check accuracy
- Knowledge of retail computer system, MS Word, and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
