We are seeking an experienced and dependable Chef Manager to lead our Food Services Department. This role is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, including meal planning, food preparation, purchasing, inventory, sanitation, and compliance with school nutrition and public health standards.
The Chef Manager supervises kitchen staff, maintains a clean and organized kitchen, and ensures that meals are safe, nutritionally balanced, and appropriate for a range of dietary needs. This is a hands-on role that also requires strong organization and oversight of systems, documentation, and regulatory requirements. The position works closely with program staff and plays an important role in supporting both the health and daily experience of youth.
Schedule & Compensation
Full-time, hourly position
Schedule: Sunday 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday - Thursday 5:30am- 1:30pm; flexibility required based on program needs
Pay: $25-$28/hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Qualifications
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification required
- 5 years of food service experience, including supervisory experience
- Experience in school, residential, or institutional settings preferred
- Knowledge of USDA meal standards and special dietary needs
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a kitchen environment
- Valid, current driver’s license and acceptable driving record for Stevens’ insurer
