Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to incoming calls from drivers and customers regarding potential freight damages, overages, shortages, or spoilage.
- Determining claim validity and facilitating timely and accurate processing and execution
- Providing complete and thorough instructions to drivers on acceptable protocol and following up accordingly
- Monitoring climate control trailer temperatures
- Ensuring that all paperwork is properly attainable in the event of a claim
- Communicating between the driver, the intended receiver and the customer concerning the disposition of the undeliverable freight and shortage discrepancies
- Notifying internal Operations personnel to track, secure and redeliver rejected any freight
- Documenting all communications and activities that occur during the handling of the claim
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills when managing claims.
- Transportation/Warehouse/Logistics industry experience
- Experience with AS/400 is ideal
- Ability to multi-task and perform accurately and reliably in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Work with a high degree of integrity and dependability
- Must be a self-starter with a high level of independent organization skills
