The IT System and Network Administrator will administer and oversee the implementation, organization, and troubleshooting of the network, hardware, and underlying communications protocols to prove the efficient support for current operations and future information technology needs. As an IT System and Network administrator, your responsibility would be:
- Install and maintain network servers and network operating systems.
- Develop functional data recovery systems and techniques.
- Schedule and monitor backup of network data. Periodically restore files, applications, and the entire system on other network hardware to test backup facilities.
- Install, configure, and maintain network cabling and other networking equipment such as hubs, switches, and UPS.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain IPS/IDS, Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Antimalware, etc. for maximum internal network protection.
- In conjunction with Comply Auto, establish and enforce policies, procedures, and standards regarding LAN, WAN, security, and use of the organization’s computer and information assets.
- Responsible for desktop support, Microsoft Server administration, Office 365 administration, and Microsoft Teams VoIP system administration.
- Maintains the internal network infrastructure include cabling, ports, WIFI access, firewall, and VPN access.
- Defines future requirements and coordinates planning for installing system improvements based on technological developments.
- Maintains records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance.
- Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.
- Interfaces with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages and periods of degraded system performance.
- Conducts security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
- Provides the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communications machinery, lines).
- Patches and maintains network continuously to meet security compliance standards.
- Perform network design and capacity planning.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field experience preferred, or two-year technical IT certification in computer science with strong experience.
