Stevens Structural Components, a self-perform division of Stevens Construction Corp. for the fabrication of commercial wall panels, is searching for a Wall Panel Designer to join the team.
Stevens Construction Corp. is a commercial general contractor with self-performed trades of concrete, carpentry, and prefabricated walls. We specialize in the new construction of various commercial, multi-unit, and mixed-use buildings.

The Wall Panel Designer is responsible for design, material take offs and estimation of commercial wall panels for large multi-unit buildings using MiTek software.

Use structural and architectural plans to produce wall panel component drawings in 2D

Generate completed drawings into 3D for review

Perform wall panel material take offs

Coordinate design closely with Director of Plant Operations

Ensure quality of work is accurate per project specifications and construction code standards

Ensure design deadlines are hit to meet production schedule

Clarify specifications and answer questions from production floor and field construction teams
Requirements:

5 years of experience designing wall components

Ability to read and understand construction plans and drawings

Software experience with MiTek and Microsoft Office Suites (Windows, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)
Experience can dictate working environment:
- Designers with advanced MiTek Design experience, within commercial wall components, will have the option of working remotely.
- Designers who are still green in experience with MiTek software and wall panel design, will be required to sit onsite in Cottage Grove, WI at the plant operations.
