What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director position at Stevens Children's Home, Inc.?
At Stevens Treatment Programs, we are committed to empowering youth to lead successful, meaningful lives through high-quality treatment and education. Our work is mission-driven, relationship-centered, and grounded in values of safety, inclusion, equity, and healing.
As we continue strengthening and modernizing our programs, we are seeking a senior leader who can help drive innovation, elevate practice, and unite our departments under a shared vision of excellence. This is a meaningful opportunity to shape the future of congregate care programming and ensure that youth and staff experience a culture of dignity, growth, and a healthy balance of trauma-informed care with the structure, routine, and safety that our environment requires.
If you are energized by mission, motivated by collaboration, and inspired by systems-level leadership, we invite you to consider joining our team.
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Program Director who is both a strategic thinker and an accessible, present leader. The ideal candidate:
- Brings at least five years of leadership experience in congregate care or a comparable setting.
- Thrives in fast-paced, relationship-driven environments and remains steady during crisis moments.
- Values trauma-informed care, inclusivity, and equity—and can ensure those values show up in practice, policy, and culture.
- Can comfortably bridge big-picture strategy with day-to-day operational oversight.
- Excels in interdisciplinary collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.
- Sees youth, families, and staff through a strengths-based, compassionate lens.
- Demonstrates exceptional judgment, integrity, and leadership presence.
A Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced training or graduate-level education in a related field is a plus.
