StevenDouglas has been retained on an exceptional Manager of FP&A opportunity in Dallas, Texas. This role is working in a hybrid capacity.
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis with strong technology skills to join this Company's finance team. This role will play a critical part in driving financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. This position partners closely with leadership across departments to provide actionable insights, financial modeling, and recommendations that support the company’s growth, efficiency, and profitability.
The "ideal" candidate will have experience working in a publicly traded manufacturing company as well as a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and standard costing in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead FP&A processes, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis, strategic initiatives, and investment decisions.
- Analyze business performance against budget, forecast, and prior-year results; identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with business leaders to deliver data-driven insights that inform operational and strategic decisions.
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes by collaborating with Accounting to ensure accurate reporting and variance analysis.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within FP&A to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Ensure financial integrity and compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline (MBA/CPA/CMA preferred).
- 10 years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A, business partnering, and transformation/change management.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and standard costing in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP systems and BI tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Experience working with international teams and understanding global financial practices.
