Job Overview
A full time position available for a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional care to our patients.
This position will be 4 days a week, with one Friday a month, and requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
EDDA Certification Required
Qualifications:

- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
- Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Take dental X-rays and intra-oral photos
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Carestream software.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when required.
- Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting the dentist.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
- Assist with dental coding for insurance purposes as necessary.
- Execute patient handoffs and monitors patient flow within the practice
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health
- Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns
- Perform digital intraoral scans
- Support patient charting for doctors
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure that the treatment area is clean and organized.
- Perform various office tasks as necessary
- Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction
