Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations.
- Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized trucks to deliver freight across designated local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling of freight such as freight shipments, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or other materials.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records throughout each shift.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing exceptional customer service.
- Follow all company policies regarding load securement, route driving, and safety protocols to ensure safe transportation at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers or refrigerated trailers.
- Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of various freight types including flatbed loads, tankers, and refrigerated goods.
- Ability to load & unload freight accurately using forklifts or manual techniques.
- Familiarity with route driving best practices for timely deliveries within local areas.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial driving.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
