Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paint Preparer to join our automotive collision repair team. As a Paint Prepper (paint helper), you will play a crucial role in ensuring vehicles are meticulously prepared for painting, guaranteeing a flawless finish. Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Use hand tools, power tools, ability to apply primer, filler, and other preparatory coatings
- Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles to identify areas requiring additional prep work or repair
- Identify any paint defects and assist with final detail/cleanup for delivery
- Handle heavy lifting of vehicle parts and materials safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Previous dealership or auto body shop experience highly preferred
- Ability to take direction and work well with others in a high production setting
- Proficiency with sanding, buffing, masking tools
- Experience with auto painting techniques and buffing processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Submit to a pre-employment drug screening

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
