Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, providing expert advice on automotive parts and accessories.
- Assist customers in locating parts using inventory management systems, including CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and POS (Point of Sale) software.
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and ensuring accurate inventory control.
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit card payments, and cash handling procedures with accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone and in person, offering product recommendations and technical support related to automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance.
- Collaborate with the service department to fulfill parts orders quickly and accurately, ensuring timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department, adhering to safety standards and organizational skills for stock management.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking, reporting, and data analysis to optimize stock levels.
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting special offers or new products to enhance retail sales performance.
- Provide training or guidance to new team members on dealership processes, POS systems, and inventory management best practices.
Experience
- Previous dealership or automotive retail experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with automotive repair processes and automotive service terminology.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance procedures, and automotive repair parts is advantageous.
- Proven skills in negotiation, sales management, and customer service are essential for success in this role.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
