We have worked throughout Southern California since 1961 and have successfully completed a large number and variety of Wet and Dry underground utility construction projects for many different public agencies including LAWA (LAX), LADWP, LACSD, METRO, and the City of Los Angeles.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Construction Project Manager/Project Engineer at Steve Bubalo Construction Co. in Los Angeles, CA. The Construction Project Manager/Project Engineer will be responsible for project management, project coordination and scheduling, safety, quality control, change management, project budgeting, and adhering to project contract, plans and specifications. This position requires a well-organized individual who is capable of taking on a project from start-up all the way to completion and close out.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
- 5 years of public works underground wet and/or dry utility construction experience preferred
- Project Coordination, Project Scheduling and Construction Project Management skills
- Project Budgeting and Management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong computer and software skills inclusive of Excel/Spreadsheets, Word, Teams, Outlook
- Time management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Experience working with LAWA (LAX), LADWP, and/or the City of Los Angeles is a plus
Responsibilities
- Oversee project scheduling and ensure timely completion of construction tasks
- Manage project budgets and resources efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including contractors, engineers, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution
- Utilize construction management software for tracking progress and reporting
- Review blueprints and schematics to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Implement effective time management strategies to meet project deadlines
