Gardener

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Gardener in Great Neck, Long Island. The ideal candidate has strong horticultural knowledge, takes pride in their work, and can lead one direct report effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine gardening tasks including planting, watering, pruning, weeding, mulching, fertilizing, and pest control
• Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and flower beds
• Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools
• Monitor plant health and identify concerns early
• Maintain clean and organized outdoor areas, pathways, and landscaping structures
• Coordinate daily tasks and provide direction to one staff member

Equipment/Training Knowledge:

• Previous gardening or landscaping experience required
• Strong knowledge of plants, soil types, and horticultural techniques
• Ability to operate standard landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining beautiful grounds

Compensation:

• $1,000 per week (hourly position)
