SAP QM & Functional Lead

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on SAP QA & Functional Lead to support our S/4HANA implementation. This role goes beyond traditional testing and requires a strong understanding of SAP configuration, business processes, and system behavior.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring the system is not only tested, but properly validated across end-to-end business processes. The ideal candidate can operate at the intersection of QA, functional design, and system troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing strategy across SAP S/4HANA implementation (SIT, UAT, Regression, Cutover, Hypercare)
• Validate system behavior across core modules including FICO, MM, SD, PP, and integration points
• Identify and troubleshoot issues, determining whether they stem from configuration, data, or defects
• Partner closely with functional leads, developers, and business stakeholders to resolve system gaps
• Challenge and validate SAP configurations to ensure alignment with business requirements
• Drive defect triage, prioritization, and resolution with cross-functional teams
• Support data validation efforts across migration cycles and mock runs
• Develop and manage test scenarios, scripts, and traceability matrices (RTM)
• Ensure end-to-end process integrity across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report
• Lead and coordinate testing resources (onshore/offshore), driving accountability and execution
• Establish go-live readiness criteria and support cutover planning
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of SAP experience, including S/4HANA implementations
• Strong experience in SAP testing AND functional process understanding
• Hands-on experience working within SAP modules (FICO, MM, SD, PP or similar)
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system issues beyond test execution (configuration vs defect vs data)
• Experience supporting or validating SAP configuration within at least one core module
• Proven ability to lead testing across full lifecycle (SIT through go-live)
• Experience working in cross-functional, highly integrated SAP environments
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes (O2C, P2P, R2R)
• Experience coordinating testing teams without direct authority
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, or regulated environments
• Prior involvement in SAP S/4HANA public cloud or greenfield/brownfield implementations
• Experience with SAP testing tools (ALM, SolMan, Tosca, etc.)
• Ability to bridge communication between technical, functional, and business teams
• Experience supporting data migration validation and mock cycles
