What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Group Lead position at STERNO – A Sterno Group Company?
Outcome: Ensures invoicing is complete, ensures that all product needed is in the D.C., Supervise, Walmart ordering process, Amazon ordering, e-commerce process, process order Picking, Shipping, loading trucks for daily orders is complete.
Key Activities:
- Supervise the Picking of orders; ensure that all orders are picked accurately and promptly.
- Visual inspection ensures a quality product is being shipped and no defects are allowed to enter commerce.
- Inspect all related paperwork (ASNs/Pick sheets) to ensure no errors or defects exist.
- Ensure that all special instructions are followed on all related paperwork.
- Create continuous improvement activities and identify all opportunities for improvement
- Supervise maintain and organize warehouse.
- Ensure that your reports have the ability to compare quickly and accurately the similarities and differences between SKUs to ensure the pick accuracy of each order.
- Supervise the movement of materials within the DC area.
- Responsible for Inventory and requisitioning production supplies as needed.
- Responsible for opening/closing D.C. as needed.
- Communicate production and operational objectives to the workforce.
- Execute an existing plan to improve working conditions (safety, quality, ergonomics, and productivity)
- Supervise general housekeeping duties as needed.
- Supervise the general upkeeping of mechanized equipment, including identification and communication to the maintenance department on maintenance issues and concerns that need attention.
- Help management, communicate, enforce, and ensure compliance with Company policies for Safety, Environmental, Dress Attire, and Attendance, etc.
- Ensure that all audit requirements are maintained each day and that the DC is fully compliance with all audit requirements.
