Job description:
Seeking Registered Nurse (RN) in our Geriatric Psychiatry Unit at Reseda, CA. We are seeking strong and competent RNs to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients aged 60 in a short-term, 10-bed acute psychiatric setting. You will work alongside 2–3 RNs per shift and must be prepared to manage both psychiatric and medical conditions in an elderly population.

Shift Details
- Rotating Shifts (Day & Night):
- Day: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Night: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Schedule Type: Deferred
Qualifications:
Active California RN license
Min 2 years acute RN experience with some psych background
Experience in geriatric psych and/or acute medical units strongly preferred
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required
Must complete California fingerprinting and obtain an LA City Fire Card prior to start
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in a geriatric psychiatric setting
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain patient safety and therapeutic environment
- Manage acute psychiatric and medical needs of elderly patients
Compensation & Benefits:
Overtime Pay:
Daily OT #1 after 8 hours
Daily OT #2 after 12 hours
Pay: $54.00 - $58.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 per week
