Job Summary

Sterling Therapy Solutions is seeking an experienced Radiology Tech for a dynamic opportunity in Arroyo Grande, California. This role offers a unique three-day schedule with extended shifts and weekend call, making it perfect for a tech who enjoys focused patient care and consistent long shifts. Enjoy a blend of diagnostic imaging duties, patient interaction, and teamwork in a supportive imaging environment.

Blended Roles & Responsibilities

(A fusion of the VMS content Sterling customized OTJ duties)

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures according to established protocols.
• Operate radiologic equipment safely and effectively, ensuring proper positioning, exposure, and technique.
• Complete exams in a timely manner while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Follow all radiation safety standards and protective practices.
• Support physicians in diagnostic and interventional procedures as needed.
• Verify patient identity, check orders, and ensure proper documentation in the EMR system.
• Manage room preparation, equipment readiness, and turnover between patients.
• Provide excellent communication and customer service to patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Participate in weekend call rotation as assigned.
• Assist with workflow efficiency, quality assurance, and departmental organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Valid California CRT license required.
• Current ARRT credential required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Ability to perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in operating radiography equipment and performing high-quality imaging.
• Strong understanding of ALARA and radiation safety practices.
• Ability to work independently during long shifts and call periods.
• Knowledge of anatomy, positioning, radiographic techniques, and patient care.
• Familiarity with common EMR and PACS systems.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
