Tele/PCU Float Pool RN – Nights | Seattle, WA
Contract Type: 13-week Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night Shift (NOC)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 36 Guaranteed
Location: Seattle, WA 98101
About the Role
Join a versatile and high-impact float pool team in Seattle, covering a range of acute care units including Telemetry, Progressive Care, Med-Surg, and multiple surgical specialties. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced RNs to expand their clinical exposure while enjoying the flexibility of floating across diverse units in a top-tier facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients in Observation, Med-Surg, General Surgery, Ortho, Short Stay, Thoracic, Neuro, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care units
- Manage post-op surgical patients and stepdown-level cases including strokes, CHF, arrhythmias, DKA, and vascular procedures
- Titrate and monitor drips such as Heparin, Nicardipine, NTG, insulin, Cardizem; fixed-rate dopamine/dobutamine as needed
- Read cardiac strips and respond to remote telemetry monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and adapt to daily staffing assignments
Qualifications
- Active RN license (WA or Compact; willing to wait for license)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Med-Surg and PCU/Stepdown settings
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently across multiple units
Education
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN not required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Cerner charting system
- Comfortable with CPAP/BiPAP equipment
- Skilled in managing lines, drains, chest tubes, and titratable drips
- Excellent adaptability, communication, and teamwork in fast-paced environments
