Radiology Technologist – Travel Contract
Location: Redding, California
Contract Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift Type: Evening / PM – 12 Hour Shifts (12:00 PM – 12:30 AM, includes Thurs–Fri and Every Other Weekend)
Hours per Week: 36 Hours
We are seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist with strong CT experience to join a fast-paced acute care imaging team. This is an exciting travel opportunity for technologists who thrive in high-acuity environments and enjoy diverse patient populations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray and CT
- Assist with fluoroscopy procedures following state and federal safety standards
- Operate C-arms in the OR and portable imaging equipment
- Work in ER, inpatient, outpatient, and surgical environments
- Ensure radiation safety and patient positioning best practices
- Document procedures accurately using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary care teams
Qualifications:
- Active ARRT (R) certification
- California state Radiologic Technologist license
- Fluoroscopy permit
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
- CT experience required
- Current BLS certification
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols
- Expertise in CT imaging and cross-sectional anatomy
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-volume departments
- Experience with trauma and emergency imaging preferred
