Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 12-Hour Shifts
Hours per Week: 36 Hours

Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric and adult MST patients
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms for adult patients
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed
- Care for pediatric patients with respiratory illnesses, dehydration, seizures, and post-operative needs
- Stabilize pediatric patients for transfer when higher level of care is needed
- Assist with high-flow oxygen therapy and support stable BiPAP/CPAP patients
- Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery
- Float to adult MST, MCU, or mom-baby units when needed for patient care coverage
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Accurately document care in electronic health systems
Qualifications
- Active RN License (Compact or state eligible)
- Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Pediatric experience required and willingness to care for adult MST patients
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract start
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred, not required)
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
- Competency in telemetry rhythm interpretation
- Excellent communication with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to stabilize and manage acute pediatric conditions
- Proficient with electronic charting systems (Cerner experience preferred)
- Strong time management and adaptability in mixed-acuity environments
