Join a high-acuity Coronary Care / Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit where your expertise will directly impact the survival and recovery of complex cardiac and post-operative patients. This role is built for confident, skilled ICU nurses who thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.

Blended Roles & Responsibilities
As a CVICU / Coronary Care ICU RN, you will:
- Provide advanced critical care to patients recovering from complex cardiac and thoracic procedures
- Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, and CRRT
- Care for post-CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, lung transplant, and thoracic surgery patients
- Interpret and respond to complex cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring
- Administer and titrate vasoactive drips, sedation, and cardiac medications
- Perform sterile procedures including Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes
- Maintain strict sterile field protocols and infection prevention standards
- Assist with bedside procedures including bronchoscopy, Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring, and epidural management
- Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed based on census
- Document care accurately in an electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
- Active RN license (Compact or willing to obtain state license)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
- Level I Trauma ICU experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CCRN certification preferred
- Must pass cardiac dysrhythmia exam prior to assignment
- Strong IV and vascular access skills required
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Experience with ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO
- Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control
- Ability to manage high-acuity, unstable patients
- Strong critical thinking and rapid response skills
- Familiarity with electronic charting systems
