Contract Type: 13-week Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night Shift (NOC)
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Hours per Week: 36 Guaranteed
Location: Silverdale, WA 98383
About the Role
Step into a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department in scenic Silverdale, WA. With 56 beds, a fast-track zone, psych/seclusion rooms, and a separate triage area, this ER is built for efficiency and excellence. You’ll be part of a highly functional team that handles 170–200 patients daily, offering care across cardiac, stroke, trauma, mental health, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care for a wide range of diagnoses including sepsis, DKA, AMS, and respiratory distress
- Triage patients (after completing triage test if assigned)
- Manage ER holds and collaborate with inpatient RNs when needed
- Work with ED Techs, CNAs, and RTs for procedures like EKGs, ABGs, and respiratory support
- Maintain documentation using Epic EMR
- Participate in 2-day orientation (compliance department-specific)
- Must be available to work Christmas and New Year’s holidays
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state eligibility to submit required)
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume trauma ER
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (or ENPC)
- Strong telemetry and strip-reading skills
Education
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN not required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in emergency protocols and trauma response
- Skilled in managing vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
- Excellent teamwork and adaptability in high-pressure settings
- Comfortable with Epic charting and fast-paced patient turnover
