EVS Technician - Day/evening (8:30am-7:00pm M-F)

Sterling Surgical Hospital is now accepting applications for a EVS Technician.
We are a 10-bed surgical hospital that specializes in many different types of surgical procedures. Because of our small size, we are able to give very detailed and personalized surgical care. We are seeking highly motivated, success-driven individuals to be part of our dynamic team of healthcare professional.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

• Adheres to Sterling Surgical Hospital's Mission, Vision and Values.
• Adheres to Sterling Surgical Hospital's Standards of Behavior. Maintains and adheres to a working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies and equipment.
• Cleans and disinfects occupied patient rooms, patient restrooms, surgical rooms, etc. following established housekeeping procedures.
• Removes soiled linen from occupied patient rooms.
• Terminally cleans patient rooms & restrooms upon dismissal or transfer of the patient following established housekeeping procedures.
• Removes all soiled linen from room – Provides clean linen
• Cleans, disinfects and remakes patient bed
• Cleans and disinfects patient restroom.
• Cleans and disinfects windows, tables, chairs, headwall, all other furniture and wall-mounted equipment in room.
• Damp mops & disinfects linoleum floors and vacuums carpet. Cleans and disinfects and spots on flooring.
• Spot cleans walls, window shade / curtains, ceilings, etc.
• Ensures appropriate cleanliness and appearance for next incoming patient.
• Cleans and disinfects patient equipment when necessary.
• Changes cubicle / shower curtains in patient room per established timeframe and on an as needed basis.
• Cleans, dusts and disinfects public areas ( waiting areas, hallways, stairways, restrooms, etc. ) following established housekeeping procedures.
• Cleans, dusts and disinfects staff areas ( offices, lounges, restrooms, etc. ) following established housekeeping procedures.
• Cleans and disinfects any area impacted by spills or stains of bodily fluids such as blood, urine, BM, vomit, etc. and/or any other kinds of liquids or fluids.
• Cleans walls, windows, doors, flooring, etc. following standard housekeeping procedures.
• Damp mop, refinishes, polishes floors surfaces as appropriate using proper equipment and procedures.
• Vacuums carpet and upholstered furniture using proper equipment and procedures.
• Cleans checks and refills supply dispensers as needed ( paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, sanitary napkins, sanitary seat covers, odor control, etc. )
• Empties trash receptacles using proper technique and procedures.
• Responds to general cleaning needs in a timely matter.
• Follows directions on caution / warning labels on all cleaning chemical supplies.
• Complies with hospital and department safety policies and procedures.
• Follows proper utilization of chemicals, supplies and equipment.
• Attends and participates in departmental meetings / in-services.
