Human Resources Generalist
The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key HR partner supporting corporate functions and business operations. This role provides day-to-day HR support across a range of areas including employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning, ensuring alignment with company policies and business objectives.
The ideal candidate has at least three (3) years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial organization, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Experience supporting DOT compliance programs is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
HR Business Support
Act as the primary HR contact for assigned departments and business functions.
Partner with managers to provide guidance on employee relations, attendance, performance management, and policy interpretation.
Coach leaders on consistent application of company policies and progressive discipline.
Compliance & Policy Administration
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.).
Support and help manage DOT compliance programs, including documentation, audits, and regulatory requirements (preferred).
Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy.
Assist with audits, reporting, and required compliance postings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of HR experience; experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations is a plus.
Experience with DOT compliance programs is highly desirable.
Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP experience a plus).
Strong interpersonal, investigation, and conflict-resolution skills.
